| The two tournaments | ||||||||||||||
The weekend in programme on the pool of water next to the Idroscalo tribunes and dedicated to the canoe polo, consists in the tournament named “Hexagonal canoe polo international ’09 and Championship of Italy A Series”. An international competition with the participation of Netherlands, World Champion team, our blue team, World Championship bronze medal, Great Britain, Denmark, Belgium and the All Stars Team, which represents Europe. We start by illustrating the final play-day of the Championship of Italy A Series which will be played on saturday 4th of july from 12,00 to 17,00 and on sunday 5th of july from 8,30 to 11,30, to continue with the “Hexagonal” tournament which will be played between 12,00 and 16,30, when the maximum of the audience will be present at Idroscalo. The final day of the Championship of Italy A Series is likely to give us strong emotions, as here in Idroscalo there will be the verdict about the 6 teams that will contend the tricolour shield 2009 at the play-off on the 1st and 2nd of august in Ancona. The actual championship is one of the most balanced we can remember of in the last years, and even though befat the final day the situation allows to think that the four highest-ranking teams can feel relatively tranquillized, the other two will have to conquest the passage to the play-off, which calls everything into question again, “with nails and teeth”. This is the ranking befat the fateful play-day at Idroscalo: Chiavari 51 points, Posillipo 49 p., Palermo and KST Siracusa 46 p., San Nicola 34 p., Bologna 30 p., Murcarolo 29 p., Firenze 28 p., Idroscalo 23 p., Academy 22 p., Cus Bari 21 p., Mariner 20 p., Jomar 16 p., Pol. Katana 6 p. Among the six teams at the bottom of the ranking, four will retrograde in A1 Series and let alone Polisportiva Katana which practically already is, among the other five the fight will reach the highest intensity. Luckily, the competitive tension will be cheered up by the performances of the brilliant Cheerleaders Italia. |
